Meeting the Need
Our rapidly advancing pipeline is focused on two therapeutic areas that target some of the world’s most widespread diseases and unmet medical needs: pain/inflammation and metabolic disease. Kalypsys has two clinical-stage molecules and is actively advancing additional compounds to IND.
PRODUCT PARTNERSHIPS
Kalypsys is interested in a partnership to advance the following compounds to late stage trials and commercialization:
NOS [KD7040, kD7332]
KD7040 is a topically administered iNOS inhibitor. an IND was filed in 4Q 2006 and a Phase IIa clinical proof of concept trial in patients with post herpetic neuralgia was completed in late 2008. Kalypsys recognizes the potential to expand the indication range by study of KD7040 in carpel tunnel syndrome.
KD7332 is an oral iNOS/nNOS dual inhibitor with indications in neuropathic pain. IND-enabling GLP safety pharmacology and toxicology studies are presently in progress.
ppar delta [kd3010]
KD3010 is an orally administered PPARδ specific agonist. An IND was filed in 2Q 2006 with Phase Ia and Phase Ib clinical trials completed in 2008. KD3010 is Phase II ready with potential in Diabetes Mellitus and Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH).
gpr119
Kalypsys has proprietary GPR119 selective agonists that demonstrate antidiabetic activity in late stage optimization.
Ophthalmology [Alcon]
In 2006 Kalypsys entered into a collaboration agreement with the objective of delivering ophthalmic drug candidates for development and commercialization by Alcon Research , Ltd. and Alcon Manufacturing, Ltd., which are affiliates of Alcon, Inc., the world's leading eye care company.
Each of these programs is backed by comprehensive patent filings to ensure freedom to operate.
